The Department of Intercultural Affairs (ICA) advocates for unity amongst the diverse cultural organizations on campus. ICA works closely with organizations to promote diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness at the university. This happens through facilitation of programs and events, as well as collaboration between all the cultural organizations on campus. Intercultural affairs deals with MSAC(Multi-cultural student advisory), planning Culture Carnival, as well as For the Night.

Ashley Cortes is the Associate Director of Intercultural Affairs.

She hails from Bronx, NY. Her major is Biology, and she's in her sophomore year. Ashley is an active member of both Cultural Connections and Fuerza Latina. In her spare time, she delves into writing fictional stories and expressing herself through art, particularly acrylic paintings. If you are a president of an organization, you are welcome to visit Ashley during her office hours to discuss any concerns or ideas you have for your organization.
